Monique Williams is a native of Missouri and currently lives in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. She attended high school in St. Louis County at the Maplewood Richmond Heights school district. She earned a bachelor of science degree in Business and Accounting at the University of Missouri – St. Louis campus. Monique spent her career serving the public interest as a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor for the Office of Missouri State Auditor (1999-2009); an Auditor and Accountant for the City of St. Louis, Missouri (2010-2022) and a small business owner since 2001.
Monique is a registered Democrat and canvasser since the age of 18. She served as a voting member on the public forum for Great Rivers Greenway Planning & Design Committee, advocated and encouraged legislation for the “Property Tax Freeze for Senior Citizens” in Missouri that was approved by SB 190 and signed into law by Governor Parsons.
Uphold election integrity through monitoring election equipment to ensure safe, secure, accurate and reliable information is processed.
Support Missouri libraries and programs that enhance education and reading through sharing of libraries.
Maintain access to business services through online registration of business applications.
I am running for Secretary of State because I am inspired by the office’s ability to collaborate with others. The sharing of ideas and information is highly creative. I enjoy collaborating with others.
